Bethany/Nocturne Timeline

Since I've been getting a few requests as to where each story fits, I decided that for everyone's convenience (myself included) I should make a timeline chronicling Bethany's life. With that said, this timeline is not set in stone nor is it complete. As I continue writing stories, I will keep updating the timeline, adding a few details. If something doesn't add up, I'll remove it. Another thing to note is that some stories are made in a way that they can fit in any given period of time, therefore giving a proper explanation feels unnecessary. With all that said, let's get on with the show:

1880:

March 8: Fortune City was founded. A city surrounded by lush nature and with access to the sea which led to a prosperous economy. 

1893:

Due to its surroundings and economical strategic position, Fortune City experiences a vast industrialization. Population also experiences a vast growth much to its advantage and disadvantage. The slums is a result of this uncontrollable growth.

1895:

June 11: Gabriel Hunter was born.

November 17: Serena Lockwood was born.

1900:

United States's treaties with other countries lead to an even more prosperous economy. Lockwood Imports becomes the primary trade company in Fortune City.

1916:

Gabriel Hunter begins working for Lockwood Imports, where he meets Serena Lockwood, daughter of the company's owner.

1917:

Gabriel Hunter and Serena Lockwood get married. The Mancini family moves in and begins a restaurant business.

1918:

World War 1 comes to an end and it has quite an effect on Fortune City. The city tried to grow in order to meet the demand of supplies during the war. This leads to a few failed business ventures. This would eventually become the prologue to the great depression.

1921:

May 13: Henry Hunter was born.

1923:

January 6: Elizabeth Campbell was born.

1920s:

The Mancini family becomes Fortune City's first and most powerful Italian Mob. Prohibition era begins, which allows for the grow of the Mancini family. Other known families of this era are the Ricci, Romano and Moretti.  Lockwood faces severe financial deficits after capital investments failed. Once again, prologue to the great depression.

1930s:

The great depression is in full effect. Many companies face closure, which leads to massive unemployment. Due to the crisis and the mafia, what was known as the slums became a criminal underworld, a city within the city. Many of the abandoned factories became a playground for thugs and their illicit activity. Things would take a turn for the better as Gabriel Hunter founds Hunter Trade Company, which would lead the city out of its crisis.

1931:

May 30: Lockwood Imports bankrupts after a horrible fiscal year.

1936:

March 19: Gabriel Hunter founds Hunter Trade Company. With a lot of cunning and support of the new policies, Hunter Trade Company would lead Fortune City out of its crisis by the end of the decade.

1940s:

World War 2 runs rampant for half of the decade. Hunter Trade Company manages to thrive under the circumstances, much to the city's benefit. The effects of the war were felt throughout the city.

1943:

Henry Hunter and Elizabeth Campbell get married.

1944:

January 1: Abigail Smith was born.

1945:

February 23: Anthony and Vanessa Hunter are born.

1950s:

In this decade the city sees an expansion in its entertainment venues. Casinos begin to flourish, even some theatres are made. Prostitution begins to insert itself into the city and is accompanied by vices. 

1954:

November 16: Henry replaces Gabriel as Hunter Trade Company's CEO.

1958:

July 27: Sinclair Entertainment is founded by Glenn Sinclair. 

1962:

August 22: Serena dies of natural causes.

October 15: Vanessa dies in a car accident.

1963:

James Stanson begins a drug empire that would run until half of the next decade. Leather and Lace, the city's first brothel is founded in the slums.

1964: 

A cult of ritualistic cannibals is formed in the outskirts of the city.

1965: 

Anthony Hunter and Abigail Smith get married.

1967:

January 29: Richard Hunter was born.

April 13: Helena Ellington was born.

1970:

April 4: Gabriel Hunter dies of natural causes. 

1975:

July 9: Anthony replaces Henry as Hunter Trade Company's CEO.

James Stanson is killed, his drug empire open for the taking. This leads to the formation of various small gangs that constantly fight for supremacy. 

1978:

May 3: Henry and Elizabeth die in a plane crash.

1984:

April 17: Barbara Sinclair was born.

1988:

December 10: Richard and Helena get married.

1989:

January 16: Jolene Smith was born.

1990:

May 12: Bethany Hunter was born.

September 3: Naomi Evans was born.

1992:

October 17: May Starr was born.

1997:

July 22: Alec Taylor was born.

2004:

January 26: Richard Hunter steps in as CEO of Hunter Trade Company.

June 18: Bethany wins Fortune City's Chess Championship.

2005:

March 25: Bethany begins training in martial arts for a whole year.

2007:

October 10: Helix Institute begins its public campaign of disguising themselves as a philanthropic company. They begin to stir chaos in the underworld.

2008:

Jun 6: Bethany graduates from Vinehill High School.

September 6: Bethany enrolls in Princeworth University as a Criminal Psychology major.

September 10: Bethany meets Jessica and they quickly become friends.

October 16: After being mugged, Bethany begins training in martial arts once more.

2009:

Due to Helix's schemes, crime activity rises throughout Fortune City. Gangs begin to run rampant throughout the city, drug dealing, disappearances and even human trafficking take place. Meanwhile Bethany continues with her training. She begins to secretly watch out for some of her friends during the night, protecting them from danger.

2010:

Feb 16: Bethany reluctantly poses nude for Jessica's portrait.

Sinclair Entertainment reaches the peak, becoming an entertainment empire. It begins to push what would become the trend of the decade, social media. Barbara becomes one of the richest women in the world. 

2011:

May 15: Bethany graduates a year early due to excellent performance. She is the valedictorian for the graduation.

June 20: Bethany begins work at the Police Department.

September 26: Bethany quits working as a police detective, seeing that it would get her nowhere. She agrees to work for her father on the condition that he would allow her to make her own P.I. Office.

October 18: Hunter Investigations is founded. 

November 9: Bethany dons a blue costume and infiltrates a heavily guarded factory in order to get the information needed to apprehend a member of the Mancini family.

November 17: Bethany investigates a disappearance related to the prostitution underworld. Of Leather and Death takes place.

2012:

January 8: Bethany dons her blue costume once more in order to infiltrate a gang of luchadors.

January 12: Jolene joins the police force as a way to disguise her criminal activity.

February 20: After a few nights of fighting crime disguised in her costume, Bethany is named Nocturne, the vigilant. 

March 6: Bethany gets a a tip about some shady business going down in the port at night. She once more dons her Nocturne persona. The Lead takes place.

April 30: Bethany is harassed by a couple of henchwomen, warning her to not interfere in their business. In the Devil's Playground takes place.

May 27: Bethany investigates what she thought would be a simple lover's dispute case. Till Sin Do Us Part takes place.

August 5: Bethany is tricked into having sex with a co-worker. This would lead her to being blackmailed into doing things for this woman. Defeat by Modesty takes place.

2013:

February 12: Bethany redesigns her costume, adding a cape and a plethora of gadgets.

March 3: With her new costume and fierce crime fighting personality, Nocturne earns the title Mistress of the Night. 

June 5: A young woman working in Hunter Trade Company discovers Bethany's true identity. She later on becomes Nightshade.

July 15: Bethany finishes her post-grad studies, earning a PhD in Psychology focused on Criminal Psychology.

August 7: A woman using mind controlling powers is wrecking havoc around the city. Nocturne and Nightshade try to stop her but fail. The Psionic Woman takes place.

September 18: After her defeat at the hands of the Psionic Woman, Nocturne is once more defeated by a woman clad in armor. She is stripped of her persona and torture. The Ebony Warrior takes place.

December 20: Nocturne has her revenge as she faces the Ebony Warrior's schemes once more. This time, Nocturne defeats the warrior, humiliating her in the process. The Ballad of Nocturne takes place.

2014:

February 2: Bethany investigates a possible cult of cannibals. The Cult of the Red Moon takes place.

March: A man threatens Bethany with publishing a sextape of hers. Bethany must bide her time while she plans on taking him down. The Trials of Bethany Hunter takes place.

April: Bethany goes on a road trip and meets a gang of bikers. She participates in a set of races against their leader. Dead Angels takes place.

June-July: Bethany takes a well deserve vacation and comes across an interesting hit girl. Bethany's Vacation takes place.

August 10: After her trip, Bethany returns to Fortune City only to discover that she must face a master thief. Little does she know that she would end up in a strange love/hate relationship with the thief. Enter the Viper takes place.

August 21: Nocturne lands in a bad spot but is rescued by a familiar face. Nocturne's Rescue takes place.

September 17: Bethany is visited by an old friend. Together they have to track down a missing woman. When Pasts Collide takes place.

October: Bethany and Stacy infiltrate a masquerade ball. The Masquerade Ball takes place. Afterwards, they head back to a hotel for a nice evening. Night at the Hotel takes place.

2015:

January 10: After months of investigating, Nocturne tried to take down Helix Institute. Hunted takes place.

January 25: A gang of thugs burn down May's home, causing Nocturne to retaliate. For a Friend takes place.

February: Nocturne faced another one of Helix Schemes and battled a cyborg. Operation Alpha takes place.

February 14: Bethany receives a lovely Valentine surprise. The Special Chocolate takes place.

March: Nocturne tracks down a Helix shipment headed to Steel City. There she meets Crimson Valkyrie. The Ride of the Valkyrie takes place. Meanwhile at the same time, Hawke investigates a lead in Crawfordsville and encounters the fabled Shadow Samurai. The Shadow of Crawfordsville takes place.

March 19: Nocturne meets the Shadow Samurai. A Meeting in Shadows takes place.

April 5: Nocturne and Nightshade investigate a Helix facility. The Horrors of Helix Institute takes place. After investigating the facility, the duo tracks a scientist that escaped with something valuable. Doctor Jenkins' Miracle Elixir takes place.

May 10: Nocturne battles against a bounty hunter named Aksana, who was sent to take her down. Dead Woman Walking takes place.

July 18: Nocturne encounters the heroine Shooting Star and together they battle against a deadly assassin. To Wish Upon a Star takes place.

August 7: Nocturne encounters the Viper and gets involved in a scheme to take down a local gang. The Viper's Fangs takes place.

August 28: Nocturne stops one of Viper's heists. Defanged takes place.

September 15: Nocturne encounters Aksana a second time, prompting a bloody battle between the two. Nocturne Must Die takes place.

September 20: Bethany takes on a case involving a strange perfume, while May is away. L'Amour Est Terrible takes place. 

October 4: Bethany investigates the case of an arsonist. The Scars Carved by the Fire takes place.

October 20: Nocturne investigates a peculiar case at Hill Park and comes across something strange.The Terror of Misty Woods takes place.

November 2: Nocturne comes across an enemy that threatens to end her. Rough Night takes place.

2016:

January 17: Bethany and May solve a peculiar case involving a strange death. His Last Cup takes place. 

February 8: Bethany and May solve a case concerning a haunted painting. The Living Painting takes place.

March 12: While investigating a truck, Nocturne gets caught by a nefarious duo. Chains of the Faust takes place.

April 23: Nocturne encounters another heroine and together they try to save a detective. Nocturne/Stalker: In the Serpent's Jaw takes place.

May 10: Bethany investigates a mysterious case involving poisoning. The Sweet Taste of Death takes place.

June: Bethany investigates a mysterious kidnapping. The Demented Collector takes place.

August: Crimson Valkyrie decides to visit Nocturne but has an encounter with Viper. Mistaken Identity: Chapter 1 takes place.
2017: 

May: Alec founds the Fortune Informers.

June: Bethany helps the mayor of Fortune City recover some sensitive information. A Scandal in Fortune takes place.

July: Bethany investigates an underground club and comes across an old enemy. The Devil's Return takes place.

The Shadow Samurai has an encounter with Viper. The Blade and the Fang takes place.

August: Naomi's brother disappears and Bethany steps in to find him. Family Ties takes place.

September 29: The Fortune Informers discover a fraud scheme at Fortune City University. Alec Taylor transforms into Lysander the Phantom Rebel. Lysander: The Phantom Rebel takes place.

October: Bethany and May investigate a serial killer case. The Hopeless Romantic takes place.

2018

June: Nocturne gets cocky and ends up overwhelmed by a gang of punks. In the Pixies’ Clutches takes place.

August: While investigating a shady rich couple, Bethany ends up being blackmailed by them. Private Instigations takes place. 

2019


October 23: Bethany gets a case from one of her father’s friends, involving a haunted estate. The Haunting of Blackwood Estate takes place.


2020

November: Bethany begins dating Naomi. Date Night takes place.
