Thanksgiving Day (Evening), Fortune City

“You know, we keep this up much longer…Rei’s gonna get worried...” Shadow grunted as she dodged punches and slashed away with her sword. “Knowing Naomi…she’d probably…send May right after us…maybe Rei too…” Nocturne replied, blocking multiple blows before using her powerful legs to disable two more thugs. Thankfully, as an epic battle of two versus ten ensued, the two superheroines: Emma Sapphire, The Shadow Samurai and Bethany Hunter, Nocturne: Mistress of the Night, could communicate via a mind link set up by Shadow’s guardian spirit and partner, Sarah Winchester. “Sorry Emma, but Rei would never abandon that Turkey in the oven,” Sarah spoke her peace. “Oh…please,” Shadow did an upper spin kick, taking down her third thug with a graceful flip, “Rei’s not that heartless.” “Well I’m sure May would be,” Nocturne said before landing a three hit combo that took down one thug and then landing a drop kick on another to incapacitate him, “Be more than adequate back up.” “She’s come a long way from what you’ve told me,” Shadow remarked, slicing down another thug, her sword in a state to incapacitate rather than harm. “Emma, I don’t tell her nearly enough,” Nocturne unleashed a hail of jabs into the next thug, sending him painfully to the ground, “How proud I am of her.” Both heroines ceased their attack. “Not bad,” Sarah observed as their army of foes lay whimpering in pain at their feet. “Not finished. I thought there were ten,” Shadow observed. “Shadow,” Nocturne pointed behind her. “He’s getting away, come on,” Shadow called out as she and Nocturne ran off the side of the building after their last foe.

Shadow and Nocturne landed in the apartment where the thug had fled and froze. Shadow slowly lowered her sword and Nocturne let her hands fall slowly to her side. The thug had taken refuge in a family home and was holding the father of two little girls, who were huddled in a corner with their mother, hostage, gun to the poor man’s head. “Dammit,” Sarah cursed and Shadow silently agreed. “Now both you bitches back the hell up and leave me alone or otherwise I blow this fuckers head off.” Nocturne calmly raised her hands, “We can discuss this without the language. Think of the children.” “FUCK THE KIDS, I TOLD YOU TO BACK OFF!!!” The thug shouted. The girls whimpered in their mothers embrace. “Please, please don’t hurt my husband,” the mother weeped.

Shadow looked past the thug. She felt horrible. This man had interrupted a lovely Thanksgiving dinner to escape from Shadow and Nocturne. “Look,” Shadow started to say, the thug holding the father tighter, “There’s no need to bring this family into our conflict. If you want a hostage take me.” “Shadow,” Nocturne looked to her with worry but Shadow waved her off. “At least this way only one of us gets hurt and it’s one of the girls who just took down your little bank team, so it’s a good win for you either way.” “This is you negotiating? You know I could just kill you all,” The thug pointed the gun at Shadow and Nocturne. “Try it but I promise you this,” Nocturne said darkly, “Go ahead and kill us but I swear we wont reach hell before you do so make your shots count.” Even Shadow had to shiver a little, sometimes forgetting her friends darker side when it came to dealing with criminals. “Or, how about I keep this gun right at his head and hold all the power?” The thug counter offered, “Cause right now, you super bimbos cant do shit against me.” “According to whom?”

The click of a pistol was heard and the thug felt a gun pressed against the back of his head, “I thought we were keeping the language clean for kids in here.” The tall and beautiful red clad form of the Crimson Valkyrie was positioned right behind the hostage taking thug. “You wont shoot me,” the Thug dared, “You do and he dies too.” “Who said I was going to kill you?” Crimson replied. Suddenly, the thug gasped and his body froze. Shadow and Nocturne looked up to see a magenta colored sleeve and red glove finger lowered from a body hanging on the ceiling. The Thug was paralyzed, unable to move his body much less his trigger finger. “Oh no my dear,” the lovely thief turned heroine called Orchid chimed, “A fate far worse than death awaits you.” Crimson quickly took the father from the thugs grasp while Orchid flipped down and relieved him of his gun. The thug’s eyes were unfrozen and he squirmed. Rightfully so, the combined pain from two powerful punches from the Mistress of the Night and Shadow Samurai was a pain he would never forget.

Minutes later, the scene was returning to peaceful again. Shadow and Orchid were helping the family back to their dinner, the children having fun with Sarah who had appeared to entertain them. Nocturne watched from a distance, not one to step into family functions in costume. Crimson descended back into the room. “Everyone’s accounted for upstairs and police are on their way,” she said triumphantly, dusting off her hands. “When did you two get in?” Nocturne asked, referring to Crimson and Orchid. “Half an hour ago. Rei’s still methodically working on dinner and you two were past due back at your place. So Orchid and I agreed to come check up on you two.” “Good thing you did,” Shadow said, approaching her friends with Orchid, “That could have gotten messy.” Nocturne sighed as she looked past her friends and at the family. They were so happy and relieved, it was almost as if they had not almost experienced a tragedy. “Nocturne? Hey you alright?” Orchid asked, snapping her fingers. “What? Oh I’m…fine.” Crimson put a hand on her shoulder, “Go over there and say something. This is your city after all.” “We’ll wait,” Shadow nodded in agreement. A bit shyly, Nocturne went over to the family to say her piece while her friends observed. “Just because you work in the shadows doesn’t mean you need to hide there all the time,” Shadow said. “That your code of arms or something?” Tiffany asked. Shadow sighed and spoke with her mental link via Sarah, “Thanks Tiff. Really, that could’ve gone so bad.” “You were ok. You and I both know that wasn’t Beth’s first hostage situation…and that’s she’s had a lot worse but not tonight.” Crimson assured her and nudged her, “Not your first one either. You two would’ve been ok.” Shadow smiled and looked to Orchid, who winked at her.

Nocturne returned to them, “Ok, we have our own dinner to attend.” “Hell yes,” Crimson cheered. “It was a long flight and I’m famished,” Orchid moaned. “Who thought superheroines could whine so much?” Shadow joked. “Hush you or youre walking to dinner,” Crimson threatened playfully. “Race back to Nocturne HQ?” Shadow nodded. “Orchid’s way ahead of us ladies,” Nocturne noted, everyone realizing the lovely thief had run off. “Why that little…” “Thief you have affection for?” Nocturne finished her joke to Crimson. Crimson rolled her eyes and flew off while Nocturne used her grappling hook and Shadow her wind power from the Shadow Sword to leap out into the night. They did indeed have a dinner to attend.

Bethany Hunter’s Apartment
Samantha Collins ran her hands up the sides of the figure hugging, strapless maroon dress, looking at herself in the mirror. One thing she was never getting used to in the present day world was seeing so little look so appealing on a woman. Not to mention the better feeling tan colored stockings hugging her legs. On the bed, May Starr, dressed in some torn jeans and a blue top, was grinning in victory, “I do believe you’re falling in love with that dress.” “Oh,” Sam turned to her, snapped from her awed state, “it’s very lovely. Maybe,” she wiggled in it, “A little too tight?” May shrugged and stood up, lowering the zipper to the side just a tad so Sam could breathe better, “How’s that?” “You’d think I’d be able to handle that with my powers and all,” Sam remarked, her arms raised so May could work. “Powers or no powers,” May brought Sam’s arms down, finished, “Nobody’s perfect…unless they’re wearing a dress like this one.” Sam turned around, shyly smiling, “And you’re sure it’s ok for me to have this one?” “Yeah,” May said with a bit of acceptance, “I doubt I would’ve found an opportunity to wear it. And besides, you need to get out there and make your presence known in the world.”

Sam sighed and took a seat on May’s bed. May heard the bit of woe and sat next to her, “You ok?” Sam shook her head, “I’m still getting used to it all. It’s been what, two months?” “Since Tiffany and Beth found you in a Helix facility frozen in ice for more than half a century? I was there remember?” May smiled. “And you’ve all been so kind it’s just…” May put a hand on Sam’s bare shoulder, “Homesick? I get it.” “Do you?” Sam asked, not harshly but for reassurance. May tilted her head, “Not completely. I didn’t fall through time like you did…sort of.” That made Sam chuckle, “I still don’t know where I’m going to situate myself yet. My life just so…out of place right now.” “I know Tiff is helping you find a place in Steel City. But you could always stay here if you want for a little bit.” “I think you just like playing dress up with someone,” Sam replied. May scratched her head, “Hey my best friend’s got the best wardrobe of all time, you think I don’t do that already? God it takes her hours to choose the ‘perfect dress’ to go out to dinner with Naomi.” Sam laughed, “Someone so pretty shouldn’t worry about that. Bethany can impress as soon as she walks in.” “Hey don’t sell yourself short. Walk into a party with this number on,” May motioned to Sam’s dress, “And you’ll kill instantly.”

Sam rested her head on May’s shoulder, “You’re a good friend May.” May pulled her in for a hug, “It’s my superpower apparently.” Sam embraced her tightly, a bit of her superheroine strength holding May close. She enjoyed this, somehow being around May made her feel at home. And May’s heartbeat was so soothing, so uplifting. It was somehow no surprise that Sam pulled back and immediately kissed May on the lips. May didn’t pull away but rather embraced this moment. They stayed this way for minutes before Sam pulled back. “I was wrong,” May admitted. “About?” Sam was worried. “You don’t need this dress to kill at a party. You had me the moment I saw you on ice.” Sam sniffled and wipped away a tear, “Thank you.” May lifted Sam’s chin up, “But sadly this isn’t a Thanksgiving dinner dress.” “God, you’d kill me if I messed it up,” Sam joked. May winked at her, “Get changed. I’ll go check on dinner ok?” “May?” “Hm?” “It was…nice,” Sam blushed. May smiled warmly back at her before leaving her room. She closed the door and rested her back against it, exhaling deeply.

“Mm hm, took you long enough.” May frowned, looking over at her roommate, Naomi Evans, wearing a navy blue skirt with bare legs, black heels and a white top, who had a fox like smile on her face. “How do you know why I’m sighing?” May asked. Naomi tapped her head, “Psychologist remember? I read people for a living.” May approached, “Well how’s your current book?” Naomi looked down at the raven haired girl kneeling beneath her, eyes glued to the oven. “In the zone…just like she has been since she got here.” May rested against the kitchen counter, looking down at Rei, Emma Sapphire’s best friend and former Shadow Guardian. But it was her skills as a chef that were one of the critical reasons Rei was invited to dinner…that and being Emma’s best friend in life. The kitchen area of Bethany’s apartment, which she shared with May and Naomi, smelled almost perfect that’s to Rei’s intense prep. May tilted her head, “Is she mumbling?” “Counting actually,” Naomi answered, “She’s got about ten more minutes of this and she insists the Turkey will be done. I tried the ham by the way, amazing.” “Really?” May reached for a slice from the nearby plate and took a bite, “OH MY GOD!!!” “Not as good as a kiss from Sam but still im sure…” May glared at Naomi with a mouth full of ham.

The sounds of movement in Bethany’s upstairs bedroom got their attention. Naomi moved to the steps, “Sounds like they’re back.” She hurried up the stairs in stockinged feet to see Nocturne, Crimson, Shadow and Orchid all arriving safely through the outdoor terrace. Immediately, Naomi moved to give Nocturne a strong hug, “Glad youre safe.” “Sorry to make you worry Naomi,” Nocturne whispered before pulled back for a kiss. “We can change elsewhere if you two want a moment,” Crimson said with a sly smirk. “Well technically,” Shadow said with a snap of the finger, “We can change right here you and I.” Instantly, Shadow Samurai’s all black costume dissipated and Emma Sapphire emerged in a lovely grey sweater top and skirt, dark stockings and her favorite purple heels. “Show off,” Crimson said, allowing her own red costume to vanish and restore her to Tiffany Johnson’s white buttoned down shirt, black skirt and black knee high boots outfit. “Well some of us have to do this the old fashioned way,” Orchid grinned, setting her magenta tight clad leg on Bethany and Naomi’s bed. “We’llllll change in the bathroom,” Nocturne took Naomi’s hand and pulled her away. “And I’ll go check on Rei. Doubt she’s said anything since we left. Don’t play too much you guys,” Emma waved off, “I’m sure dinner’s almost ready.” “Care to assist me Professor Johnson?” Katy Barton said after removing her mask. “That was good work out there with the stun,” Tiffany said happily as she unzipped Katy’s costume from behind. “Perks of being your partner in crime fighting. Man that is weird to say,” Katy admitted. “You’re a good girl out there,” Tiffany replied, “But when we’re alone…” Free of her top, Katy spun around and wrapped her arms around her girlfriend, “I’m still you’re bad girl thief.” “We should have taken the bathroom,” Tiffany admitted before kissing her. “I’ll restrain myself…good practice for restraining you later,” Katy winked. “I love you,” Tiffany sighed happily before helping Katy out of her costume.

Rei continued to eye the last piece of her task intensly. “Is she sure it wont burst into flames? Like she might accidentally use heat vision or something?” May asked Emma. Emma placed the Shadow Stone on the Kitchen counter and squatted next to Rei, “How’s she coming?” Rei continued to mumble until she was certain she as at a good pause point, “Five more minutes. The greens will be ready soon too.” “I was hoping you’d lighten up a little bit on this trip,” Emma said. “Have to be tight and precise. This is Thanksgiving Dinner,” Rei reminded her. “And it will taste fantastic. May can already support that.” Rei looked up at May, who was helping herself to another slice of ham. Rei turned around, “That’s good I suppose.” Emma caught on instantly, “You miss Steph don’t you?” Rei hugged herself, confirming Emma’s suspicions. “You’re not the only one Rei.” Rei looked up to see Sarah offering a sympathetic look for the absence of her daughter. A knock at the door drew May away. Emma put an arm around her friend, “Could always call her. Or you could’ve gone with her to see her Dad and Kenji. Heck, Sarah would’ve gone too.” Rei threw her head back, “Could have but you wouldn’t have your powers to go on patrol, two and one…she was adamant I cook this for everyone.” “And from the smell of things, I was right to go with that idea.” Rei popped up. Waving at her from the other side of the counter was her black jacket clad girlfriend, Stephanie Winchester. Rei was about to throw herself over the table into her arms, but didn’t want to risk ruining the food. Instead, Stephanie met her with a hug, “Dad sends his best and says feed my daughter the best damn meal ever.” Rei dug her head into Steph’s shoulder, “I can do that.” “Good to see you baby girl,” Sarah said from the Shadow Stone, Stephanie bringing her into her hug with Rei.

Meanwhile, Emma was busy thanking the other new arrival for bringing Stephanie with a long kiss. “So do I win husband of the year?” John Sapphire asked. “For taking a detour to pick her up and bring her here? You get best husband of all time,” Emma said, rewarding John with another kiss. A moment later, Sam emerged from May’s bedroom in a red turtleneck and blue jeans. “Perfect timing,” May called to her, “Beth wanted me to started getting tables together for everyone.” “I’m not going to do all the heavy lifting just because I can. You’re going to help right?” Sam asked. May poked her tongue out, “We’ll be a team on this one.” Sam smiled and went with May to help with the tables, patting John on his shoulder as she passed by. “Sam’s in a good mood,” John noted. “I think we missed some fun while we were on patrol,” Emma smiled. John looked to May and Sam, “Ahhhhh…” “Quick on the uptake as always,” Rei said to John. “Should I check my food for poison then?” John countered. “Down you two,” Steph chuckled, causing a good deal of laughter amongst the Sapphire family.

“Looks like the party’s all here,” Tiffany called out as she descended the steps with Katy, who was dressed in a black string top with a flowing magenta skirt, her magenta tights and heels from her costume still on. “Almost. I think we’re still waiting on two more,” John said. “Two more? Crowded as is,” Katy reminded him. “Hence the extra tables,” May said with a grunt as she and Sam pulled out another long table from Bethany’s storage room. “Who else is on the guest list?” Katy asked. May set the table down, “You wouldn’t believe me if I told you.” Tiffany raised an eyebrow to that, “Are we going to have to keep superheroine talk to a minimum?” A knock at the door pulled everyone’s attention. “BETH!!!” “Be right down May,” her roommate replied. May opened the door wide open, “Our last two ladies and gentlemen.” “Son of a bitch,” John was the first to say as a buzz cut haired gentlemen with a jacket matching John’s trademark tan on entered and extended his hand. “Good to see you brother,” Jason Hawke said, pulling John in for a hug. Tiffany came up next, “Didn’t know you and Beth were on speaking terms.” Jason knew Tiff would be questionable but he assured her, “We made up just after she and Beth started dating. I’ve moved on but not enough to kill our friendship all together.” Tiffany smirked, “Somehow I believe you…Hawke,” she extended a hand. Jason shook back, “Crimson.”

“You said last two guests?” Stephanie asked. May nodded. Sure enough, someone was poking his head around the door frame and then vanished again. “Who’s that?” Emma asked. “Come on man, it’s just a room full of older women. Nosebleeds can be forgiven,” Jason said comically, never forgetting blazing eyes of seven females were now upon him. “Ummm.” The shorter person came around. He was dressed in a black hoody and jeans with sneakers, “Hello, everyone.” All except May and Jason were confused. “I’m glad you changed your mind, Heero.” The young hacker looked up and was stunned to see Bethany Hunter descending in a short red skirt and a black top, her feet bare with Naomi right behind her. “Uhhh…yeah I uhh…” “This is Heero, THE Heero?” Katy was shocked. “The hacker?” Tiffany added. “Younger than I thought he’d be,” Emma said. “Shorter than me,” Rei added, resulting in a light back nudge from Stephanie. Bethany moved to Heero, “I’m glad you’re here Heero.” “Cant see why you wanted me to come. This is after all, well,” he motioned to the crowded room. “A place for family and that includes you,” Bethany said kindly. “This is…im sorry,” Heero turned around to leave but Bethany took his hand. “You’re not in trouble. Far from it, I assure you.” Heero turned around. He had known Nocturne’s secret identity for a long time but never revealed it: at first for leverage but soon it was out of respect and a small one sided crush on a beautiful older woman. And now that same woman he once caused trouble for was offering him a place to call home for a little while. Everyone was smiling at him and it was Emma who came forward first. She extended a hand, “I’ve heard a lot about you Heero. Apparently youre pretty fluent in Anime and gaming.” He looked to Bethany who smiled. “You know a lot Miss?” “Sapphire, Emma Sapphire.” “E-E-Emma Sapphire?” Emma nodded then motioned behind her, “And that’s Tiffany Johnson.” Tiffany waved with a wink. Heero fainted. John was the first to say, “Is he gonna be ok?” “He may have just met his superheroine trinity,” Bethany chimmed before picking Heero up, “Come on, let’s get the table set.”

Bethany took her seat at the head of the long table. On her right was Naomi, smiling at her and a hand over her lover, followed by Tiffany, Katy, Heero, Jason and Sam. On her left was May, Emma, John, Stephanie and Rei, with Sarah on the Shadow Stone in between them. Bethany raised a glass and stood up, “Everyone. A few years ago, I started my career as Nocturne by myself. I thought that it was up to me and me alone to defend Fortune City, my home. But there were nights that even I could feel the impossible burden I set upon myself. I couldn’t keep it that way though. Eventually, I met May and Naomi and Jason. I had a team, I had people I could trust with not just my mission but my heart and soul as well. But they aren’t the only ones here anymore. Emma, Tiffany, Rei, Katy, John, Steph, Sarah, Sam, Heero. All of you, you aren’t just allies in a fight for justice. No to me youre…youre…” she was starting to tear up, “You are my best and closest friends, you are my family. And this wonderful meal prepared by the ultimate Chef,” she motioned to Rei, who everyone offered a low congrats, “Is one I wouldn’t want to have without all of you here. To…” she thought of what to say, family seeming to light to do it justice. “To the best damn meal of the year,” Tiffany said. “And the people we love and share it with,” Emma finished. Bethany looked to them both, “Precisely.” “CHEERS!!!” Everyone called out and raised their glasses.

Later
Samantha took another batch of branches and began attaching them to the next level of the central stem while May worked on lighting the tree as they went. Sam was starting to show a slight twinge of frustration. The tree assembly was going fine. But May was constantly opening her mouth as if to ask a question but she quickly stopped herself. Finally, Sam could take no more, “May, for God’s sake please. What do you want to ask me?” “Nothing,” May quickly replied. “May,” Sam said impatiently. May sighed, “Ok. But look you don’t have to answer. Although if you don’t youre kind of answering it in a way.” “Spit it out,” Sam pleaded. “Ok, ok,” Sam took a breath, “So…what happened back in my room…when we…you know…” Sam blushed as she attached another branch, “Yeah?” “Was that your first kiss since 1945?” Sam’s eyes nearly leapt out of her skull, “MAY!!” “Hey I didn’t want to ask but I was curious,” May defended as she wrapped another string of lights over a newly assembled layer of branches, “You just seemed to really like it that’s all.” Sam ceased attaching branches and stepped off her stool to meet May under the tree on her back. May looked at her, feeling a little guilty. But she was met with a playful peck on her lips, “You can ask me later…and I’ll tell you the whole story if you want.” May giggled, happy that Sam was staying with her, Naomi and Bethany tonight. “I’ll hold you to that,” May said with a hopeful smile. “OH COME ON!!!” May sighed. Jason was shouting again from her room where he, John and Heero had gone to enjoy some gaming on May’s Xbox. “If I ever get my room back,” May lamented.

“Getting the tree set up so soon?” Emma asked, taking a glass of Pepsi from Bethany, both women standing by the wall just outside the kitchen where Rei, Stephanie and Naomi were washing dishes. “It’s a tradition with my family,” Bethany elaborated, “Every year, Mom and my aunts would clean up the kitchen while Dad and I started getting the tree up. And afterwards, we’d have pumpkin pie to celebrate getting it done. Sometimes that was as late as 3am but I was never tired enough to finish that tree.” “So why leave it to May then?” Emma asked further. Bethany nodded, “She seems happy around Sam. I guess I just wanted to give her some space.” Emma tilted her head, “Hey,” “What?” “May’s finally found someone she likes. Even if she is a super heroine from World War II, they’ve got a good bond. That doesn’t mean she’s going to push you away. If she were afraid of that, she wouldn’t be here after Naomi moved in.” Bethany looked at May and Sam laughing as Sam got tangled in lights for a moment. “I guess I’m being silly.” “You usually are,” Emma poked Bethany in her side, causing a laugh.

Bethany looked over at the couch. Tiffany and Katy were sleeping in each others arms. “Guess dinner was a success if it put those two to sleep,” Emma smiled. “It really was something,” Bethany agreed, “Thank you for coming early with Rei. This dinner wouldn’t have been as good without her.” “Told ya so,” Emma grinned, “She’s always had the powers of a cook. Even when she was attached to the Shadow Stone, she could easily direct me to make an amazing dinner.” “Like a ghost Rattatouile?” Bethany joked. “Ewwww not nearly as gross,” Emma shivered. It was Bethany’s turn to grin with a chuckle now. She looked over at Naomi, who was handing Rei another plate to dry and winked at her. Naomi blew her a kiss in reply. Bethany relaxed on the wall, “This was good, all of us here.” “Yeah,” Emma agreed, “Hard to believe our family has gotten so big.” “This apartment used to be so big, so quiet,” Bethany lamented, “For a long time it was just me, my job and Nocturne. But then I met May, Naomi, Tiffany and you,” she looked to Emma, “You helped make this time of the year special again.” “Hard to believe we never knew each other once upon a time,” Emma thought aloud, “Now look at us,” she put a hand on Bethany’s shoulder, “Family.” Bethany put a hand on Emma’s, “Always.”

“EMMA!!!!” John shouted, “HE’S KICKING OUR ASSES!!!!”. “At least we know Tiffany and Katy will sleep through the apocalypse if it ever shows up.” “Or Katy’s asleep and Tiffany’s waiting to kill them all for keeping her awake,” Bethany theorized. “Maybe. But I think I need to go get in on some of this action,” Emma slammed her fist into her palm. “Careful of Heero, he’s pretty good,” Bethany warned. Emma cracked her neck, “Oh Heerohimura87 knows all about ZEROBH6COOL and she’s been waiting to school him,” her competitive gamer bleeding through. “Go silly,” Bethany nodded, letting Emma free from their talk so she could join her husband and his friends.

Bethany had a quick gasp as she felt some soft arms wrap around her from behind. “Mmmm I thought you were working on dishes,” she said softly. Naomi kissed her neck, “Well it was Sarah who reminded me that everyones with their loved ones so I should do the same. She’s very wise for a ghost.” “She is,” Bethany replied, bringing Naomi’s hand from her waist to her lips. “How are you doing Beth?” Naomi asked. Bethany sighed, “Naomi…I don’t think ive ever been this happy. I wish it could stay like this forever.” “Who says it cant?” Naomi asked. Bethany nodded, “Youre right,” she turned around and pressed Naomi against the wall, kissing her, “You’ll still be here and so will May.” “Exactly, love,” Naomi said in between kisses, “And it’s not like any of these people are ever far.” “True,” Bethany agreed, “This is so…perfect, Naomi.” “I hope you’ll have many more of these moments, Bethany. I hope I can help with that.” Bethany smiled, “Naomi…no one could ever make my heart as happy as you can. I love you.” “And I love you…my Mistress of the Night. Wanna head upstairs for a bit?” Bethany shook her head and brought Naomi around so she could hold her against her, back to her chest, “Let’s enjoy this together, right here, right now.” “Perfect,” Naomi agreed as she rested her head against Bethany.

It was a perfect instant untouched by time itself. Emma, John, Heero and Jason were battling it out in Halo. Tiffany and Katy were sound asleep on the couch, though Tiffany’s hand was showing signs of moving to just under Katy’s skirt. Rei and Steph were trading quips with Sarah as they finished the dishes. And May and Sam were trying not to sneak in a kiss every five seconds as the tree was assembled…wanting to save more for later.

The Thanksgiving Dinner at Bethany Hunters was a success…and a perfect moment in time.
This was a gift from my good friend :icongundam20012005:. I wanted to have Bethany in a fun tale with her friends and he came up with this lovely piece.

Bethany decides to have a Thanksgiving party with her friends, but as always, a bit of trouble follows the lovely heroines. However, they will not have this night ruined and what unfolds is a great night with good friends sharing a good meal and company.

Hope you guys enjoy it and happy Thanksgiving!
