Announcing the 2017 Spring Contest!

Well you guys voted and the results are in! It was a very interesting (and intense) poll, but detective came out with the lead, earning three more votes than the runner up. So the official theme for this contest will be detective and all the intrigue, dangers and mysteries that come with it! 

Whether you have a thrilling mystery in your hands or you can picture a scene, as always, both writers and artists are more than welcome. While detective is the central theme of the contest, you can also include any of the other themes, provided they fit with the central one. For example you could write a detective story with a Victorian era Bethany or mix detective with romance, etc. As with previous contest, you are welcome to use your own characters with mine or you can make new ones. 

If you have any questions as to whether something is acceptable both in terms of fitting with the theme or my limitations regarding my characters, you are more than welcome to send me a note. For the time being, the due date is for March 15th. Starting from March 16th, we'll do polls that will run for one week in order to declare the winners. For the time being, these are the prizes:

1st place 1600 points
2dn place 800 points
3rd place 400 points

Note that these might change, but if they do, it will only be for an increase not a decrease. As per usual, I need at the very least 4-6 entries for the contest to work well. I think that's all there is to it, but if I missed anything, I'll update it asap. So good luck to everyone willing to participate! I look forward to seeing what you have in store and remember, the game is afoot!
